An original eight litre dual cowl torpedo; in ivory-white and black, with red trim. This four seat art-deco car was original built for Lord Harmsworth, owner of The Daily Mail to his own exacting specification through Earl Howe; a director of the Coachbuilders, Barker,

One of the unique features of this convertible vintage car is the second deck and screen, which disappears completely when not in use. There’s a picture of this historic vehicle in The Monte Carlo casino winning a Concorde de Elegance.

Earl Howe was one of the “Bentley boys” and a racing driver and thought so much of this car, that when Lord Harmsworth parted with it; he bought it and kept it for the rest of his life. The current owner acquired the car some forty-eight years ago from The Rt. Honourable Mrs. Howe.

The car is regularly driven and is cruised at 50- 60 mph; although it can still go up to 80 mph when required.

A similar dual cowl torpedo sold in the U.S recently for $1.2 million so if you want to arrive in millionaire style this is the car!
